750 grams oAll purpose flour
1 cup extra virgin olive oil
1 cup sugar
1 tbsp. cinnamon powder
1 tbsp. clove powder
2 tbsp anise seeds
2 tbsp. baking powder
¾ cup almonds with skin on and roasted
coarsely chopped
½ cup. black raisin (currants)
1 orange, the zest
1 cup Red wine
1 pinch of salt
Sesame seeds

Preheat the oven to 190C degrees and pour the flour into a large bowl. Heat the olive oil a little to 40 degrees and add it to the bowl with the flour. Stir, and then start adding all the ingredients except the sesame seeds. Knead the ingredients well until a dough is formed. Roll 3 or 4 cylinders with a diameter of about 4 cm.
Sprinkle the rolls with sesame seeds all around and then with a sharp large knife cut slices about 1.5 cm wide. Spread the “slices” on non-stick paper and then sprinkle with sesame seeds on top or bottom if desired.
Bake for 60 – 70 minutes depending on the oven. Until golden and baked.
